I had Nickerson put a new roof on my cottage, cedar side the beachhouse, and put in an aluminum door. I found that the contractor had hammered nails in the cedar shakes into our dining area so that they stuck out near the feet of anyone eating there. Yikes. Then the aluminum door...now how can an aluminum door warp? Well, it was installed incorrectly and now does not seat...the casing will have to be removed to fit it properly...but certainly not by Nickerson. After the roof was installed, I found some leaking by the chimney. I believed it to be the flashing around the chimney. When I spoke with John, he told me that flashing is not part of the roof and that he could fix it at a further cost of $600 to me. Now come on, John...the flashing is not part of the roof? This company does not stand by their work...I need another screen door due to Irene...but surely will not go to Nickerson Home Improvement. They showed little integrity. Hire them at your own peril!!
