If you go to or through Orleans and don't stop at this store you are crazy. It's a great store, tons of merchandise and the staff and owner area always a great help and entertaining. Fun place, can't wait to make my next trip to Bird Watcher's General Store.
Awesome store. I shopped there today. Owner Mike is knowledgeable about everything and anything to do with birds. . Shop local. Loads of smalls and bigs for Xmas gifts!
If you feed birds you need to stop at this store. They have an amazing selection of feeders, food, spotting scopes, binoculars and other items. I was on the quest for a new hummingbird feeder after a bear destroyed mine earlier in the year. The prices are comparable to online site like Amazon (I checked) but you get to handle the merchandise and ask the knowledgeable staff. Check out the bathroom (really).
The most bird products I have ever seen in my life. The owner is passionate about his store it's infectious. We were looking for the impossible, a squirrel and pidgen proof for my dear mom who has been battling them for years. He was determined, and after quite some time found one! Loved him, his wife, and his store. Everyone must go, even if you don't like birds
