Losing some of their panache. They run out of stuff, are relying on the old favs like dirtbombs and cinnamon bead, and service is just okay.
Very service and absolutely decadent pastries. Loved the cinnamon butter muffin!!
And a good selection of coffee. Perfect for grabs in the morning before heading to the beach for a morning picnic!

I am not sure why people think the Cottage Street Bakery is so great. The desserts and sweets are better at the Chocolate Sparrow. The sandwiches are better at Jo Mama. In fact the bread at Cottage Street is pretty dry and unremarkable. But in the past the soup has been good so I did stop today to get soup to go. I got two kinds and when I got home I discovered one container of soup was literally frozen solid. So clearly this was not fresh soup made that day, which would not have been the end of the world if I had at least been told that the choice I made was not fresh but frozen. Cottage Street Bakery is cute but if you want good food, try the places I mentioned above.
Quaint little place. Friendly staff. Great coffee.
